Wilmington School Principal Sentenced on Child Porn Charges
There is a darkness that must be brought to light.
A Former Principal of Salesianum School, an all-boys catholic high school in Wilmington, has been sentenced on child pornogrophy charges.
William McCandless, who was accused of collecting thousands of child pornography images while serving overseas and then bringing them with him when he returned to the United States, was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison.

The Rev. William McCandless — a member of the Wilmington-based religious order Oblates of St. Frances De Sales — first came to to the attention of U.S. authorities after a stash of illicit photos and videos was discovered while he was stationed in the tiny nation on the French Riviera and working as an adviser to Princess Charlene, the wife of Monaco’s royal sovereign, Prince Albert II.2
Last year 3 bills were filed to keep students safe from sexual predators3 after William Ushler, director of upper school admissions at Tower Hill School, was fired after being arrested on five counts of child pornography.
Within a week after Ushler’s arrest, Darin Albright, a Milford School District custodian, was charged with three counts of dealing in child pornography after being reported by Twitter.
I know this is a terribly difficult subject, and I wish it were not so, but the threat of abuse by evil around us exists. The sexual GROOMING of today's youth only exasperates this horror.
An organazation "Shared Hope" aims to combat this atrocity by bringing awareness and pursuing legislative changes which will protect our youth.
