There is no circumstance where this bill should be passed. It is a dangerous & irresponsible bill. This bill will allow experimental procedures to be done on children, while provided a blanket liability shield to the doctors who perform these so called ‘gender affirming care’ procedure; to which those shielded from liability stand to make massive amounts of money. Gender affirming care requires lifelong dependency.
That is an alarming conflict of interest. There are no long term studies of how children are affected by cross-sex hormones and ‘puberty blockers’ [for children] despite there being evidence of irreversible harm. Instead, there is only a societal fast-track approach to ‘affirm’ a child's chosen gender. All those who dissent from that hurried path are labeled as “hatefull bigots”.
Internal documents from medical university gender affirming care clinics contradict the claims that cross-sex hormones are safely monitored. As of 2023 there are 2.6 million American adults who identify as transgender. Gender Dysphoria was once considered a mental illness. Today it is blindly supported with very expensive surgeries and powerful drugs.
The FDA has not approved a single pharmaceutical product used in gender transition specifically for gender transitions. Testosterone, Estrogen and Puberty Blockers, such as the leuprolide, used as a prostate cancer retarder as well as to chemically castrate sex offenders, are given to children for gender transitioning. These powerful drugs are all being prescribed off-label.
The United States Professional Association for Transgender Health (USPath) and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPath) sets guidance that most American doctors adhere to.
According to leaked WPATH documents, transgender “experts” recognize minors and vulnerable adults cannot give informed consent to experimental gender interventions. Individuals seeking gender transition often struggle with autism, extreme mental illness, history of sexual abuse, and other factors, making informed consent impossible.
There is many reasons why. I would argue it's a kind of extension of postmodernist cultural Marxism, because transgenderism, if we're looking at it philosophically, is ultimately about rejecting what is a foundational principle, philosophical and Western civilization.
Transgenderism is to say, there is no such thing as an objective reality that you are born a male or female. It is your subjective perception of your gender identity that is actualized and made real. It has becomes an authoritarian movement as in the fact that the movement demands societal recognization that subjective reality is truth.
The fact that this bill would “protect health care providers from out-of-state civil actions relating to gender-affirming health care treatment that is legal in Delaware, including the issuance of a summons or the enforcement of subpoenas relating to such cases” is a gross violation of the fundamental rights of a parent to protect their child. Parents possess a fundamental right to raise their children as they see fit. When those values of a strong family, freedom, individuality, & integrity are eroded, we no longer have a free & prosperous nation. The result is an immoral, deceptive, nation of chaos.
